View Full Version : Can't hide doors without hiding door tags?

In a callout view I'm using detail components and drafting lines to draw in my doors and I've turned off the visibility of my modelled doors - however this also turns off the door tag in the callout view. Is this supposed to happen? Anyway around it besides having the door show or using a 'fake' door tag?

Thanks.

jees, you're right! Never realised this before....generally weI would put those detail components/ lines in the family - mode 'fine' only...and have the other stuff invisible in 'fine' mode...if lotsof different situaltions, just copy the door and draw the other details in the copy. Just make sure your naming makes sense (I find naming protocols in Revit really tricky , in fact I think Ill start a thread omn them:-D)

u can also hide the door by selecting the linework tool with invisible line, that way your tag stays, and just draft your detail...

As mentioned above, if you add the detail lines and components to the door family and set the visibility on those items to fine or medium only AND set the "regular" door lines to show in course only you will not only get what you want but only have to do this once per family!!!

Good luck -
