I just got my upgrade yesterday so I am a total newbie. I am the only CAD user in my office so I don't have any other users to worry about and I can set up my workspace however I want. I've gone through Autodesk's help file, watched a couple CUI tutorial videos and read the threads here and I know I must be missing something simple. I copied acad.cui to my custom folder & renamed it, then I made my custom cui the Main cui and made acad.cui the Enterprise cui. Then I customized my main cui to my heart's content, getting my toolbars the way I want them with the tools I use most often. I added custom tools and lisp files. Then I hit Apply and OK to close the window and ack! None of my customization shows up on the screen. I can go back into the customization window and look at my custom cui & everything I did is there. I even tried creating a Workspace with the new toolbars but when I close the customization window all the default toolbars are there all my workspace does is rearrange them. How do I make my Main cui "active"?

PS. do "flyout" tool buttons exist anymore?

Yes, flyouts exist.

Attach a screen shot of what your cui editor looks like. In particular, I want to see your workspace definitions. You may also want to zip your cui up and attach it.

Thanks but I figured out what I needed to do. I knew it was something simple (and stupid). I notices both cui's were names ACAD in the cui editor. I renamed my main cui and voila! All my toolbars changed the way I wanted them and I have access to all my custom tools.
