Hello all,
Dynamic blocks dislike being scaled and/or rotated - they lose their handles. At first I thought I had done something wrong, but I tested the ones that came with the program & found that they behave the same way. Also in some cases moving them by a few metres bring the handles back. Am I the only one who's having this problem?

What as the one out-of-he-box you tested ?
Did you make sure that you included the action in each one ?

I tested only 2 out of the box - the tree & the car - both of which lost their visibility handles after scaling up by 100 (uniform scaling) & then rotating a few times. It's quite inconsistent - at times it takes only 1 rotation, other times it takes a few.
I just tested the car again and after losing the handle I rotated it 180 degrees & it was OK again!

This behavior has been noted before. I would suspect that Autodesk will address the issue soon.

Thanks,
Matt WorlandI'm also on map06sp1, and I've scaled and rotated dozens of blocks in the past couple weeks with no ill effects. I've been able to adjust them afterwards no problem.

It was really wierd, I inserted a d-block stretched it and rotated just fine. Then I inserted another d-block streteched it just fine, then rotated and my action grips disapeared. I then checked my ealier block and no action grips. I'll keep playing.

Thanks,
Matt

Thanks,
Matt with what I was doing, I inserted 1 dblock (a door), adjusted it, made copies, scaled, modified, made copies, etc. occasionally I would insert another block after that, but, no scaling involved. I might toy around and see if I could reproduce what you're seeing.
