convert from one to another "in place" family ?

it is possible to convert a created "in place family" (not a family!) from one category to another, in an elegant way? For example an extruded ceiling to the roof or to mass or to furniture even if you loose the lighting fixture (obvious...), or this have to be in the "Wish list"

Edit the family, choose "settings", "family categories & parameters" then change the family category to what you want it to be.
