Now, I have to post- It seems I am overlooking some tiny checkbox...
My interior elevations tags are showing up in all Floor plans- which would make sense if one would not clip the actual view and limit it to the given room elevation.
Not to much I could find in the help files or in this forum... any hint is of help.
Thanks,
Felix

If your crop regions crosses the extents of any elevation you will see the tag, just right click on the tag and select hide annotation in view.

Scott,
- sometimes I really wonder about those blind spots...it's there but one does not
see...
thanks-
now I can enjoy a glass of wine without worrying how to get this stuff done
tomorrow.

another one:
any idea why Revit adds "detail numbers" to each view annotation, which, as it happens, are colliding with my chosen view names- another conceptual topic that must have a deeper meaning...
thanks.

Ok I got the detail numbering- nice, so it would be something if the view names could be hidden and only the numbers remain...

I don't understand... our elevations symbols display the sheet number inside the circle, and the detail number near the arrow outside the circle, no names.

Uncheck "Show View Name"

I am having this same problem with the view name being shown even if I have this unchecked. Am I missing something deeper.

View Tags are managed via menu SETTINGS > VIEW TAGS > ELEVATION TAGS. This is how elevation types are managed. Then each elevation you make is based on one of the available types. It is possible to change the settings for one type but your elevations are still using another.
Any more clues to offer...might help.

... just right click on the tag and select hide annotation in view.
How would one make these visible again? Not an immediate issue, but I can see this coming up sometime.
Thanks,
Randall

Float you mouse over the symbol - it will highlight. Right click and Show annotation in view....

Thanks, Aaron. I also discovered that I can select them using "Find Refering Views" in the project browser.
So, why do sections, elevations, and callouts all have different visibility controls? Are they so different in nature, or did they just have separate development teams? Is there an item on the Wish List to make these consistent?
Thanks,
Randall
