I have had a member post me a question and I could not help him. He is Spanish speaking and I have some help with the translation but not the problem.
If someone can answer his question I can get it translated:

"Dear Donnia, when I am working in a DWG file and when I am tried to open another DWG file, this last file takes a long time to open. Why this happens?
Best Regards, Bruno

Hi

For starters try the following threads (especially take note of all links within) -

Complete slow down of CAD (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=4360)

2004 Lags (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=6395)

Have a good one, Mike

You will get this if:
A field is trying to show login name (not sure why this affects it, but it really does), to fix ears this field then completely purge the drawing including the newer -purge regapps feature.

You are low on system memory (lower than about 512 MB for 2006 running on XP pro.)

You are running on too little viedo memory (less than about 128 MB for 2006) or if you are sharing your video memroy with your RAM.

Your hard drive is slow.

If accessing over a network, you have a slow network conneciton or lots of users logged on. (Also if the network is not properly configured).

These are only a few of the reasons, but can give you a great starting point.
