Does anyone else use this feature? It works well and updates like a champ.

I like it, but wish that there was more than one sorting field. Does anyone have this requirement? (e.g.: needing to have a 2nd or 3rd sorting field) or having the need to sort any one in ascending or descending order?

Right now we EATTEXT to an XLS file, do the sorting and then Paste Special back into a DWG... which looses the automation of having it directly linked to the attributes.

Another thing I would like to see Tables have is a way to keep the formating (mostly of the header rows) when bringing in an Excel spreadsheet.

More than one sorting column is a great wish to add after the current voting cycle.

Formatting is supposed to come across better, but it is too spotty in my experience. If you have tricky formatting you might have issues. However, fonts, colors, and cell fills seem to work ok in my tests.

Hi

I have just started to use the eattext directly to a table but the problem I have now is with a drawing with a large number of blocks about 2000.

I have created a schedule using the eattext command, each block has about 4-5 attribute I'm extracting. This has worked brilliantly but it has now slowed the drawing down to such an extent that it takes up to half an hour to open it, and it is slow to use.

I want to keep the tables in the drawing to keep the live link, but the drawing is no longer manageable.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this

Hi Gary,

Yes, I use it, and it does slow down when you have a lot of attributes(and I could really use 2-3 sort cols).

One way to cut the lag is to not have the live update, and update the tables manually, or what I do is xref the drawing into another one for the tables, so that my main model isn't bogged down by them.
