Bill of Materials

Does anyone use Revit to produce a bill of materials. I have been given the task of creating a bill of materials and was wondering the easiest (of course I want the easiest way) method of doing so.

We do, however we exported to MSAccess. This proved a daunting task and we found that site info, topo, roads , sidewalks etc. do not export with type id's just id's. This limits using the site work produced to manual takeoffs. We sent a request to the Factory and were surprised by this. Needless to say they are working on a fix (hopefully).
