View Full Version : Overlapping walls won't separate

I have two walls that used abutt each other by having the inside face of one coincident with the outside face of the other. This was done because the outer wall is a decorative add-on that has a completely different look. All was working fine until (I think) I upgraded to 8. Now the walls overlap and they will not separate. Wherever one goes, the other goes also. Is there any way to separate them?

Try unjoin geometry?

Select move, then check disjoin geometry. Now move it away...

I'll give this a try when I run into work later today. If this is another case of my forgetting to look at the options bar, I'll kick myself. I love Revit but I do wish it would adopt some of the right-click cursor menu options that AutoCAD has.

Well, I finally did get to try this and, yes, it was a case of not looking at the options bar after selecting to move the wall. Thanks for the help.
