View Full Version : Reflected Ceiling Plans ( was "Help in Display" )

I am working on my first project in revit. So lets just say i am finding my way around the software. I am working on electrical plans and i would like for my ceiling lighting fixtures to show up on the electrical plan. how would i go about doing this?

to get the electrical fixtures visible u must use the ceiling plans views
which had a upside down projection of your floor plan view , and a diferente cut level

Or you can open the light fixture family and draw an invisible line from fixture down to floor level. Save family and import into project. This should make the fixture visible in floor plan.

The reason the invisible line method works is that the cut plane will intersect the line and will therefore display the attached component. Make sure your cut plane is set at an elevtion that will cut the line you put in the family.

I can not get any of the components with text to display in the ref ceiling plan as fernando suggested. can anyone offer any suggestions?

Can you post an image of what you have/want ?

Also, which components with text are you referring to ?
