Has anyone else notice a display bug with roof soffits? Take a look at the following images. I have a soffit sketch that make up the soffits of two separate dormers about 40 - 50 feet apart. There is a section line cutting between them but not cutting any actual soffit geometry, yet they still display in section.

I’ve also had similar experiences where the soffit so up in plan views that are not cutting through them. It’s quite annoying as I make heavy use of soffits in my projects.

Chris,

Are the soffits in-place families? If they are, are they in the same in-place family.

I've had similar experiences with in-place family sweeps. If you sweep an object around three sides of a room, and cut a section through two sides with the section facing the open end, the geometry of the sweep behind the section shows. The workaround was to split up the family.

Andrew's comment might also apply if the soffits were done as a single sketch. Try separate sketches.

I have seen this with inplace families, but not roof soffits created with the soffit tool. Send it in.
