thematic legend crisis

I just gave a solution to somebody for another problem while i have a problem. I dont know for some reason when i try to place a legend of a thematic map into the drawing i do not get the colors of the thematic map on the legend.

The created legend contains the queried data but not the color coding. Even the display tab on the workspace does not show colors just a rectanglw with a diagonal beside each query classification.

Could anybody tell me wheter iam missing something.

The legend will be placed on the current layer. If you don't change the layer to the the one you want it on then the objects will take the properties of whatever layer you are on.
