In 2005, I used an AutoCAD icon and edited it for different use. Saved it. No problems.

When I transfer this toolbar (converting it to a CUI), the image in the toolbar is accurate, but in the CUI, the button image still shows the original image. Even when I path the "Small Image" to the actual bitmap file, the preview still shows incorrectly. (see attached screenshot)

It's not a big problem on this small toolbar, but could get annoying if someone has a lot of custom icons.

Anyone else have this odd behavior?

Yes, I am having the same problem. I have "migrated" our companies extensive collection of toolbars, some with flyouts and some without, to start using '07. We are currently using '05. All seems to be going OK with the migration process. I decided to try adding a new tool to a toolbar. It is the last tool in a flyout. I added the command, with the new image created in the editor and dragged it into position after the last tool. OK so far. I wanted to increase the size of an element in the image. That went OK as well but the toolbar does not seem to update with the new image. Unloading the partial CUI and reloading does not correct the problem. Making a change to cause a "recompile" does not change it either. The image is saved in a custom directory that is pathed in the Support file search path. I'm at a loss to correct the problem.

The next day I went to rename the mnr file to see if I could cause AutoCAD to recreate it with the correct image. I noticed a second copy of the toolbar image had been created in the same directory that I have designated as storage for the partial cui's. I deleted the bmp and renamed the mnr file to .old. Once AutoCAD was restarted the image appeared correctly and a new mnr file was created.
