Is there way to get demolished walls shown with transparent fill instead of the white that is shining so bright on color filled drawings?
Another question is more like hope - could there be a anti demolish tool also? Pretty much work to go every time into walls properties to change the demolish - setting to none!
By the way - like that demolish tool a lot! :) Nice to swing something heavy tool for a while.

1. Settings/Materials select the "Phase Demo" material and set the cut pattern up accordingly.
Or
2. Settings/Phases/Graphic Overrides. Select the Phase Demo material and set it up accordingly.

Hey there,
I am not sure I quite understand this question; however, I will give it an attempt. If you go into your wall properties, there is a place where it says "phase created" and "phase demolished". Just say "none" in "phase demolished".
I hope that is what you are looking for. (That is how I "un-demolish" something that I accidentally demolished, or revised.
Good Luck

So what is the right cut pattern? I already have cut pattern as "no pattern".
I added screen shot of the situation - demolished cut pattern is here set "no pattern". We do not want the wall show white inside if demolished -is there cut pattern that can do it, if "no pattern" doesn't work?
To my 2. question :
HMMM mayby it's my English.. The anti demolish tool works just opposite to that tool that looks like a big hammer. It takes time to go every single time into the wall properties window and change that demolished tap back as "none"

"Solid fill" should do it for you.

Aahhh see your problem. What you could do is Trace/Pick over demolished walls with detail lines, then phase the view to show new in other words dont show demolished.

Great suggestion, Zeds!
Adding to the issue... I would LOVE to have the ability to make the area plan work OVER the plan itself. Along with walls, I have some components that are symbolic line reps and some that are 3d. As you know, the 3d obscures the area color fill below while the symbolic lines do not. This makes the area plans look sloppy.
The walls, as well, are an issue with our clients. They want to see the color extend to the exterior face of the exterior wall. This way, it shows them EXACTLY where the area is measured to. Right now, the are looks like it is measured to the inside face of the 'cut' wall. BIG problem for us.
I would also like control of the boundary edge display. I am wondering if your linework trick can help with area boundaries as well. I don't think so...

Thats ok if needed to be done once or twice for the same wall.
We are doing preliminary plans for client. An existing building, six storey high and basement, usable floor area around 6000 sq meters. There will come at least four different departments which all can say they opinion how many rooms and where. So in very short time we need to be able change things if they want things to be different.
That means in the model walls are demolished and undemolished in short period of time. For now we have decided that it's much easier to give these white fillings appear than use extra lines on plans.
Another problem we have noticed about demolished walls, is on sections - these demolished walls have that white filling there also -> things that should be seen behind demolished wall aren't shown.
PS. totally agree with you bowlingbrad

Create a view showing just demo work, change to wireframe. Overlay this view on the floor plan view on sheet. The only work you have to do, is create this other view as opposed to using linework on the lines over and over again. Oh...don't show demo on the color fill plan. Overlaying views on sheets the oft overlooked solution...

Steve -there's an good idea.
Still wouldn't it be easier if in one of the next updates they would give us true "no pattern" to demolished fillings?
