I am a newb so forgive me. I studied on Catia all through college and then was not around CAD at all for a couple years now I am trying to back into it on AutoCAD 2005 LT. I have a drawing set up in 4 screen 3D Iso. I have a top, front, right, ISO set up. My question is i can draw in the top view and everything looks fine on the iso view. As soon as i try to draw something as simple as a straight line in a different view (front, right)on the z axis i get some crazy scewed out line that starts were i put my starting point at but ends on some crazy other dimension. I dont know i have tried reading a couple books but they are no help. Thanks

If I understand you, chances are that you are working entirely in the World Coordinate System. Look into User Coordinte Systems (UCS in Help). Assuming you are working only in modelspace, you would want a plan-view UCS in each of your front and side views. The real problem is - you should be using full acad not LT. LT has very little in the way of 3d ability; one of the things removed to justify the higher price of the full version.
However, if you are drawing with lines NOT polylines, you can make things work to a large degree by using ENDpoint, MIDpoint, etc. object snaps.

Alternaively, do you just want isometric line diagrams? That's a lot easier.

Basically what I am shooting for is I am drawing a somewhat rectangular object. It has multiple layers and I can only do so much with top view. I need to go into my front and right hand views to complete the drawing. Its only going to be in wire frame nothing fancy. When I go into my front and right view its like my whole world flips around and I am drawing in a different space compared to the top. I can enter my three coordinates in top view and get exactly what I want. If I do it in the other two views I get something completely different

Note, I have moved this from the plotting forum to the General AutoCAD LT Forum, as it is better served here.
Thanks,

Okay. Still assuming that you're in mspace with four vports, all in plan view.
First go to View\Toolbars and switch on the View toolbar.
Now, pick the vport that is to be a left-hand view and pick the View toolbar icon that is labelled Left View. This will both set the view to the left and activate a suitable UCS. The six View toolbar buttons that show orthogonal views all behave similarly. The last four buttons (that show oblique views) also change the view but leave the current coordinate system as is.
