Argh!!
I have groups of walls and curtainwalls to make up my typical bay of my building.
When I try to add a curtain grid to the cwall, Revit tells me I have to make the change within "Edit Group", but of course, I can't draw a curtain grid within "Edit Group", I can only add and remove items!!
I fear that the only work-around is to actually delete the curtainwall from the group and then redraw it. That would be deeply disappointing, not to mention pretty lame!
Can someone please tell me (without lying) that I don't have to erase these cwalls??

I can add curtain 'grids' to the group but cannot ADD Mullions to the group - thats when I get the message

Whilst in Edit Group mode though you can use the modelling pull-down menu and get to the command that way

Edit the group.
Cut the entire curtian wall off to the clipboard.
Finish the group (now without curtainwall)
Paste the curtainwall back in using paste to same place.
Edit the curtainwall.
Edit the group and add the curtainwall back in.

Should work.

Edit the Group
Tab on the Curtain Wall until you hit a curtain grid
Right-click on Grid, pick Create Similar
Place new Curtain Grids
Right-click on Mullion, Create Similar
Place new Mullions
Finish Group
