File convertors

I was wondering if anyone new of a "free" file convertors for the following types:

MAX to 3DS

and

GSM to 3DS

Basically, I've found some "free" Fire truck models in these formats and would like to convert them to 3DS (I have crossroads so I can convert 3DS to DXF). Any information you have would be appreciated.

The ones listed in This Thread (www.zoogdesign.com/forums/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=14581#14581) are already available in 3ds , so you just go straight into crossroads to convert to dxf.
