Need to Model steel cable supports

Ok, how would I model a steel cable support where the green line is? Thanks in advance for any help. This is my first Revit project and I'm having a blast with it! I know this still has a lot of work but I'm learning as I go and this is about a weeks worth of work.

How bout using a generic family with a simple cylinder extrusion.

I use a sweep with a circle profile within a family. Here is an example for you to look at. If you want to do it in place, you just need to create a ref. plane where you want the cable, then use it as the work plane and draw the path on it.
