Material Default

Inventor 9. Has anyone found a way of making a specific material default. i.e. Most part I model are Mild Steel so I want to skip the step of editing each new part thru iproperties and changing the material type from Default to Mild Steel.

Have you tried opening the template file, and making mild steel the active material in the template?

If memory serves, whatever material is active in the template will become active in the part that uses the template.
