I have an image that is a little over 2mb and for some reason i can't get it to import into Revit, I don't get any error messages, it just thinks for a long time and then nothing happens. I didn't think there was a cap on image size but perhaps I am wrong? Any other suggestions?

Just tried one at 5megs with no problem. What type of image (file format) and where are you trying to insert it?

How did you compress the jpeg ? Photoshop or else ?

When it is done thinking, zoom all. It might have placed the image outside your viewing window.

make sure you have raster images turned on in the sheet view.

Tried that...if only it were that simple...and the raster visibility is on. Perhaps my computer will view the world differently and want to work. I have imported this same graphic before and it worked fine. Oh, and it was compressed in p-shop.

Okay, I just went through the whole process of turning the image into a jpg again, and changed the compression type, and it works fine now...I guess it's sensitive. :) Thanks everybody.

It might have something to do with RGB vs. CMYK image type? Revit wants RGB. See this earlier THREAD. (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=24445&highlight=CMYK)

Yah, I think you may be right, I ended up changing it to gray scale the second time around and that probably solved it.
