I have a file linked into a site plan. It has lots of gridlines.....but they don't show on the site plan......yes they are turned on in the Linked RVT tab etc. I need these grids so the surveyor can set out.
Any ideas ...thanks

Are the gridlines within view range?

I thought grid lines and reference planes were independent of view range.

You are right. (I'm not a Revit user, you see. ;-) )

Bug your CS rep then.

Taylor, I'm spinning the wheels here. Try unloading and reloading the linked file(s). ( Yeah I know , it shouln't make a jot ... BWTH ).

Does the file being linked have only grids in it?
If so, i've seen this kind of thing before.
Add a wall and it will be OK.

Things have progressed......I linked in a DWG file, turn on the crop region, pushed and pulled the crop region and what do you know.....there are my grid lines.......I did have my fingers and toes crossed, taken my neck tie off and threatened some serious violence. Apart from that I have no real idea.

So you're saying the linked rvt file still won't show grids ? and therfore you've linked a dwg file now.
Or was it always a dwg file that was linked.?

The grids I wonted to see are in the linked RVT file......they just happen to appear after linking a DWG file and playing with the crop regions.
