New windows do not cut infill walls

I have a wall with existing windows that I have demolished. When I try to insert a new windows in the in filled walls the windows do not cut the wall properly. Any idea what's going on with this?

check the phase of the 3D view, set it to 'proposed' (or whatever the name of the phase in which you add the new window) and set the phase filter to 'show complete'.

3D views can be set to show any phase of the project, this caught me out in a similar way.
Did you demolish the existing and add the proposed in the same phase?
