Is select all instances view dependent....I mean is it per view ?
so, if I select a wall tag and do select all instances...it would only select those in that particular view ? or will it select globally in the project ?

Thanks

Global.
Try selecting within the view and using the filter tool.

In Revit 8.1, you have the choice to Select All Instance per windowed area. Open a view, highlight a group of objects by Window selection, then use Select All Instances.

You got me excited Scott but that doesn't seem to work....maybe I'm doing something wrong?? When I select multiple objects select all instances is greyed out...no option for select all instances in view...what you smokin dude? :D

Man, I'm going insane....i'm working too much! This works for Tag All Not Tagged, not Select All Instances! Sorry to get your hopes up!

Definately a tool we need: "Select All in View"

The Tag all Not Tagged works by windowing a selection, and then choosing to Tag those selected items.
