How do I lock my Main Level Exterior Walls to my Exterior Basement Walls?

There are a number of different ways to lock them but the example is kind of vague, You can lock them in a 3d view or section view. It would help if you post an image of what you are trying to do.

to add to this
if the walls are already there, use the align tool, then lock the alingment
(in floor plan, turn on the foundation as underlay)

a different way would be to use the stacked wall tool (limited if you need to adjust the elevation sketch of the top of the bottom wall or the bottom of the top wall)

Okay, I took a class about a month ago and the teacher showed us a way in floor plan, where he selected a wall, then did a few clicks (the part I can't remeber) then opened the lower level and selected the wall under it and then locked the both together. So basicly I want to lock a wall ontop of another wall.

in floor plan, turn on the foundation as underlay
pick the aling tool - it is somewhat backwords from autoCAD
pick the align tool
pick the wall that is stationary (the place you want the other wall to move to)
pick the wall that is to move
click the lock that appears immediately after you align (it may be off the screen if you are zoomed in

Try this
Go to the floor plan View properties
Choose your basement wall level as underlay ... your basement walls will show up in your floor plan.
Move your wall over the basement wall > lock the locker.

BTW... I avoid as much as possible the use of locking objects on project level.

Got it, great. Thanks for the Help. Ya I don't plan on using it very often, but it's always nice to know you have it and not need it.

I usually define the building perimeter with reference planes and then align and lock the walls to them. The ref planes show up in any plan view without worrying about turning underlays on and off or switching between wireframe and hidden line view. It makes it easy to adjust the wall layout. Just grab the ref planes and drag them around.
