Thanks for sharing, sorry you struggled with this.

FYI, There is a Printing Troubleshooting section in Revit's Help Appendix. It mentions the spooling issue you discovered. There are quite a few helpful suggestions therein.

The printer help info has been part of releases since 5.1 (I forget which build).
