Door Schedules?

Is there a way with Revit to automatically key door head, jamb, and sill details into the door schedule? Perhaps key these details to a door type, so when the schedule is generated this information is associated to a door and the schedule columns are already filled out. One less scheduled item to coordinate.

Unfortunately no, You can add the fields, but then you have to get it right. So I recommend using door type elevations where you callout the details from there. From your schedule you can have the type parameter, so this way you have accuracy. I know the "old way" was to show the detail location in the schedule, but maybe you can sell the switch as its more accurate to call them out from the door and window elevations.
