Where does the Layout Wizard look for title blocks?
I've put mine in the Support folder, the Templates folder and the AutoCAD root folder and it still does not show up in the list when I run the wizard.
I've using ADT 2004
Thanks

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the AutoCAD General (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=120) forum to this one...
Why? - ADT may very well use a completely different process to "vanilla" AutoCAD.
Thanks, Mike

ThanksHonestly I had forgotten about this since this is an AutoCAD command, I really never used it in ADT since this feature is not accessible unless you load the Acad menu file.
I will be moving this back to the AutoCAD forums as I feel you will find a better response there since this is an AutoCAD issue at heart, not ADT. I apologize for any confusion!

Forum ModeratorThanks for the move, but I'm sticking it back in the AutoCAD forums. See above post for my reasoning.
Do you by any chance have any experience with this function of AutoCAD? I'm curious about it now.

Ok! no worries...
If "tflaherty" (Sorry, i don't know your real name) is referring to the "Use a Wizard" option within the "Startup" dialog box then either "Acad.dwt" or " "AcadIso.dwt" is being used depending on the current setting of system variable Measureinit.
Measureinit = 0 -> Acad.dwt
Measureinit = 1 -> AcadIso.dwt
Have a good one, Mike

No,
I'm using the Layout Wizard (Insert -> Layout -> Layout Wizard) to set-up my layout tabs. One of the 5th screen asks for a title block to be used with this layout & specify whether its being inserted as an xref or a block. I want to know which folder AutoCAD is looking in to find these titleblocks, since there is no way to navigate to a specific folder?

They appear to be in the same folder as the templates. The path will be something along the lines of -
C:\documents and settings\User name\Local settings\Application Data\AutoCADx\(language)\Template

What does the following return at the AutoCAD Command Line...
Command: (getenv "TemplatePath")The path that is returned is where you will find the DWG files listed on "Title Block" page (LayoutWizard command).
Have a good one, Mike
