I've created a new profile for a sweep and can't get it to load into my project. I've made sure the family setting is set to Wall sweep but when I select wall sweep in the project it isn't there, what am I missing?

Post your profile family... I'll have a look!

Once you've loaded the profile into the project, you have to create a wall sweep type that uses this profile. Have you done that yet?

Also, I reversed the sweep so that it will appear on the exterior of your wall ;-)

HTH!

No I haven't done that, how would I do that?

99% of Revit tools work in the following manner. Select the tool goto properties and set up some parameters, now perform the task.
In this case select host sweep/wall sweep, * Properties; edit; duplicate; new name; and set the profile parameter to the desired profile.
*This in effect is the backbone of all operations in Revit! Run it through in your sleep, until it becomes second nature. Tool, Properties, Edit, Duplicate, Rename, set paramaters, Perform task.

Just a tip!!

I tried that, but the profile I want isn't there. That's my whole problem.

Nice Wes 8) . When's the Wes's Revit Illustrated coming out in paperback?Slow day at the office or just being your usual, ever-so-helpful self?

Heh -- the image manager I use makes screen grabs a snap. Added a minute or two to the whole thing. Save me ten minutes just trying to explain in print what he had to do!

Funny how those Ikea instructions don't always work out the same way, huh? :screwy:

I've been told I *have* to do a video series on Revit... but I'm mulling over the required effort for that!
