Does anyone know how I might go about producing the following in a schedule - see attachments.

We like to place repetative notes at the bottom of our schedules so our remarks column does not get too dense with information. This method has served us well in the past and we would like to produce this in Revit if we can. The only option I have been able to come up with is make a separate schedule/note block and place it under the schedule on a sheet. The issue with this is that when information is added or subtracted from the schedule, you would now need to reposition the notes on a sheet.

If you put the text in a Legend then the block of text can appear on multiple sheets (as well as multiple times on the same sheet). Rather handy. Changing any one legend will change in all locations.

Keep in mind you can't Group the Schedule and Legend together.

All the best -

Phil

Thanks for the response Phil. This is the direction I was leaning towards. It would be nice to have this type of flexibility in a schedule where we can place common notes at the end.

Yet another approach...a schedule key that doesn't get used in a schedule. You can put the schedule key on a sheet at the bottom of another schedule. Since it is a schedule it can be formatted the same and it will snap into alignment with another schedule. It won't move if the other schedule grows but it will grow if you add more comments.

I have worked out a schedule key for a room finish schedule, however, there are a couple of obstacles that I need to overcome.

1. I would like to replace the "none" designation with a "-" or just a blank line. In order to do this I need to add it to the schedule key. Since I cannot filter a schedule key, this shows up on my sheet and is undesirable.

2. There is also a need to combine notes in some rooms ( for example note 1 and note 2 might apply to the same space). Again I run into the same problem as above.

What is the best approach to this? Should I just use a legend or am I not using the schedule key feature correctly?
