Elevation graphic issue

I have an open exterior loggia and I need to represent the openings beyond the plane of the exterior wall as shaded but transparent to indicate depth, I cant use transparent area fills because they are not transparent, I was thinking of creating semi transparent wall in front of the wall in question but the wall would show up in plan & I only need to see it in elevations, any suggestions?

try and create the wall in another workset, disable that workset in your plan and show it only in elevations.

Worksets are great for this!

If you're not using the "Temporary" phase for anything, you could place them there and just make a phase filter for those views where you want them to show up. But you have less control than when using Worksets.

And if you want to avoid using worksets you could always make an in place family (or a regular family) and set the visability to only show at a specific view detail and only from the left/right or front/back. That should work also.
