Last night I needed to cut an opening in a curved wall that has an arched top.

I used the opening tool to cut a square opening that was taller that needed. Then I made a curved generic model family which defined the top of my opening in the model.

This was a pain. Anybody got a better idea?

Wouldn't you be able to create it using voids and then the cut geometry tool?

Just create a generic wall based family with the arch shape you want.

Use a window family with just the wall opening. You will need to insert it in a 3d view on a curved wall.
I've attached an adjustable arched opening window family.

"Edit" Per Scotts sugestion I've attached a wall based opening without any possible window baggage. The family will load into the project browser under "Generic Models"
The arch spring is adjustable on both
