I have a quick question about browser organization. I have a small project with about 12 detail views. For some reason, however, half of them show up in the project browser grouped under "Sections (Detail View 1)" and half show up grouped under "Detail Views." I have checked the properties on all of the views (in both groups) and all of them are listed as "System Family: Detail View" type "Detail View 1." It's not a terribly big deal, but I don't understand why they are grouping seperately. Any insights?

if you start the section command, draw a section and then change it's type to detail view after placing it, it will remain a section but look like a detail. also true for the opposite...make sure you change the type from section to detail BEFORE placing it on the screen.

interesting. I didn't pay any attention when I drew them, I'm sure that's what I did. There is no way to change them afterward? If not, that could be a minor wish list request.

You can change the section type later. Basically, Revit is sorting the sections by the graphic presentation you're using. The assumption is that a certain type of section (like a wall section) will appear a certain way, so sorting them based on this is a safe bet.
