Importing Text from DWG file

I would be interested in getting some feedback on how different firms are handling the problems text in linked drawing files.

I'm having problems working with text from AutoCAD drawings.

Might suggest you check this post. Only found your post because I was looking for something else. Generally, I am pretty clueless about Revit Structure.

We are a new Revit Building user (8.1) and have not migrated yet from ADT firmwide. It's not a make-or-break issue, but the text problems are a nightmare with imported files. The problem disappears if you use DText, but who wants to go to all that trouble? The posted suggestions are OK, but I am so totally not interested in creating a whole bunch of parameters for all the really simple, basic text boxes. And text in Revit is not so friendly either. A better Revit Text Editor is my biggest initial wish list item.

I will follow your post in the event one of the Structure users can find somthing better.
