Site Plan and Property Lines

I'm laying out one city block and within the block there are numerous lots, each separated by a property line. When I try to identify each lot I get an error that says I can't have my property lines intersecting eachother. Any thoughts on how to get around this without linking together 24 different files.

I drew each lot separately and one at a time.

I thought of doing that and tried it as well but when two properties adjoin each other, the dashed property lines dont correlate with each other and appears as more-or-less a solid line.

Try selecting the shorter of the two lines and, using the linework tool, change it to an invisible line.
