I've attached my problem. I need to dimension to the exterior corner of a core wall (the 2x4) and not the plywood layer. (you'll need to zoom way in to see where I have the arrows placed) But it won't let me. Do I need to change the structure of my wall? It will let me dimension the inside corners, but I don't need one there and it won't let me move it to where I need it.

Search the forum. There has been threads about this. I think you need to place ref planes or detail lines and dimension to them.

Its not great, but draw reference planes coming vertically from the 2 corners, then dim between the 2 ref planes.

Ya that's what I'm doing now. I just figured with this High powered software it would know the differenece between plywood and a 2x4. Maybe it's a bug?

This is a SERIOUS flaw that has gone largely neglected. Why can't this be fixed in a point release? Revit seriously needs a release devoted to nothing other than lingereing hickups such as this.

I vote for weekly point releases until all the buggy stuff is finally up to standards.

This fix is way overdue!!
If and when you model your subfloor aligned with the core, dimension will locate the floor corner point .
