The new text editor displays the measured value when editing dimension text (please don't ask why I need to edit it).
Is it possible to make the editor diplay the <> default value indicator instead?

Hi
Having still not loaded AutoCAD 2006 (in box sitting on my desk) I can't give you a direct answer to your question, but the following should work as a workaround (if acceptable)...
Edit via Properties Palette
or
Use the "old" style Multiline Editor ( mtext - vertical text (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=21484) )
or
Set MTextEd to use something like NotePad.exe
or
...
Have a good one, Mike

Thanks Mike.
I was hoping for something rather more direct.
Perhaps I'll just produce a macro to change to the old editor, edit and reset to the new editor.

Try this post - RE: mtext - vertical text (offers one method).

Hi Mike.
Yes. I'll use that until a better way appears.
BTW, I've called the function c:TET (TextEditorToggle) because it's easy to type.
Thanks
