I'm trying to make a millwork detail sheet out of the profiles I used to make all of my mouldings and railings. How can I place the profiles loaded into the project on to a detail sheet, or make them in to detail groups to be placed into a drafting view?

Unfortunately, i don't think you can get profiles in legend componants, unless they are roof facias. The best way i know of (what i do) is to open the profiles, copy the lines into a new detail componant, and name them the same, so that i can keep 2 synchronized sets of files for the actual profile and the detail componants.

I wish legend componants did a lot more; they obviously have some glaring omisions in what's available for them and what they do, but for now that's my best answer.

A profile cannot be inserted onto a legend. (wishlist item!)

One way to do this right now is:

1. Make a new 'Detail Component Family' of the profile shape you wish.
2. When drawing the 'Profile Family', load the 'Detail Component' that you just made as a base.
3. Then you can either just section the railing or load the 'Detail Component'.
