New to REVIT from the desktop world, how do you scale an imported site plan (.jpeg) for accurate base modeling. PS have a studio review at 8:00 am tomorrow? Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Select the image, File > Resize. Use the listening dimensions to select the start and end points of an element with a know dimension and then resize that element ( and the image ) to the correct size.

Assuming that you have a known length in your image (a property line or existing building face for example) simply select the image, use the resize tool, select the start point and end point of the known length (this is the reference length) and then type in the actual value required. The image will be scaled accordingly.

Hi Dirk,
Yes, it was a good tip at the time, but the resize tool was introduced after that tip and is now a more efficient way of achieving the same result.

Fwiw, an AutoCAD comparison. Resize is very similar to AutoCAD's Scale command using the Reference option. Resize uses fewer clicks.
