Fascia on Curve

I'm trying to put fascia on the curved portion of a roof. The fascia tool won't grab the edges. I did a search for a work-around but the closest I could get was maybe a the railing tool. Could someone point me in the right direction?

You have to create a in-place sweep...see attached
