Area plans

I know we can set the room area calcs now (wonderful) but is there a way to set the gross building area calc. to core finish? Like when you have a wood framed building or steel studs with exterior finishes.

Try this:

When you set up an area plan, don't have Revit automatically draw the boundries. Then set the view detail settings to medium. Grab the area boundry tool. Uncheck "apply area rules" above, and then toggle/pick the core boundry.
