Fill Pattern Line Weight? & Rafter tails?

Has the option to change pattern/hatch line weights been added to the latest release (8.1)? Example: floor materials, like tile pattern. Not just drafting fill patterns.

I know you can cut the geometry out of a roof to show roof rafter tails. But when I try to lock the void lines to the roofs geometry I get the message "Circular chain of reference..." and it wont make the void. It looks fine without them locked but if I change the roof pitch or other properties, the voids wont follow the roof changes. Is there a way to lock the voids to the roof?
