Chris

This is a suggestion for zoogdesign not for Revit. I hope I am not about to own up to an error in my system set-up but each time I download something from here it ends up as a numbered file on my desktop with no filetype extension. Can the system be smartened up so it downloads with its extension intact, please?

Pete

:? Hmmm... Peter, I'm sorry to say, but I think it might be on your end somewhere. When I download things, it saves them exactly as posted, with file extension intact. But perhaps you're not the only one.

Is this happening to anyone else???

Hey, I just noticed I was only on 79 posts and already I was a family master - you should see the ones I made this morning, you would take my master status straight off me.

Anyway this will be number 80 so maybe I'll take another step at that point.

I think there is some kind of problem with my PC I bouhgt a Pocket PC a few weeks back and since installing active sync the machine seems to have slowed to a halt and to have various other bits of quaint behaviour.

Downloading attachments works fine for me. Are you running Windows, Peter?

Yes, James,

I have XP on the machine in question.

Peter,

I've noticed a drain on my system's resources if my ActiveSync is set to continuously sync. I'll typically leave it set to sync manually. That seems to help me. Although, I'm running it on W2K, not XP. Also, there is a new version of ActiveSync. If you don't have it already, I'd suggest you download it and install it. It seems to me there was a fix having to do with XP on it.

Good luck,

Thanks Mike

Actually, I am on the laptop now and it is flying along and doing everything it oughta, so maybe Active Sync is the culprit - even though I have the most up to date version...

I'll tinker.
