Render Elevations???

I need help quick! I spent time doing a great 3D model on Revit for a proposal project and I need to submit drawings for site plan review and I want to do rendered elevations, but when I go to the rendering tab when I'm in one of the elevation views, the options are grayed out. Do you mean to tell me that Revit doesn't do rendering on elevations? Please say it isn't so...

Create a 3d view, go to View Menu, select Orient, select the view you want to render and render!

Create a 3D view. F8 and view in an orthographic view. Render away.

Any tips for setting up scenes? I can't seem to get the colors right or get the clouds to show. I am just following the defaults in Revit and changing the location to match mine.
