Windows visibility, what's the matter???

Hi all,
I notice if I have a window not cut by the cut plane still shows the sill in a plan view. I tried to uncheck the visibility of the sill in Plan/RPC but I turned off any visibility at all.
So, all I want is to see the sill when the window is cut by the cut plane and simply not to see anything when above the cut plane and finally see just the sill when below the cut plane.
Is it possible or not?

Did you make the window or did you download it?

Have you opened up the family in the family editor?

I ask these two questions as it is possible to switch off visibility of all the components if you wish and equaly there are tricks that can be used to see the window in releases prior to 6 where it is above cut plane and you may be falling foul of one of these issues.

Would need more information to give better advice.
