Network License Monitors

While upgrading to 8.1 today I noticed that I have a service running called "Revit License Monitor" that I believe to be the old license monitor from version 5.0 (before Autodesk bought Revit). Can anyone confirm this? I would like to get rid of this service if it's no longer needed. Can anyone provide some info about this? Thanks.

I'm not sure what the previous service was called, but I may be able to help you determine if it's the current one.

If you right-click on the service and go to properties, you can see the EXE file for the service. By default, the current version is C:\Program Files\Autodesk Network License Manager\lmgrd.exe. Also, by default the service name is "FlexLM Service 1". If it's not that EXE, it's likely not the current one.

Stop it and see what happens! :twisted:
