I am trying to make or find an electrical Legend. I downloaded the one from RUGI but I cannot get it to upgrade. I wanted to know also if there is a way to make one inside Revit? Maybe just need to import from ACAD? I would really like one that is editable inside Revit?
Thanks,
Robert

There was one floating around a couple of years ago. I grabbed it and ran with it. I will repost it tomorrow when I get in, providing I remember. Nag me at jbaldingatwatgNOSPAMdotcom and I won't forget.

There's a lot of good hints in this topic (www.zoogdesign.com/forums/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2606&highlight=legend) on making a graphic legend.
I went back to an old family I had, which may be the one on RUGI, but its pre 5.0 and needs to be manually upgraded by the service provider

This may be too European for your needs and I have a feeling it doesn't have all the symbols I currently use in it, but attached a is a group and it can be opened and placed on a drafting view. One of my back-burner tasks is to place it on a generic annotation but this will provide you with a starting point

Thanks, Peter, no luck with that one. Need for US and would like something that can be edited in Revit.
Thanks,
Robert

This is an Electrical Symbol Legend that I use. It's made of Detail Components.

I usually make an electrical model and have a symbol attached to it. I then use the symbol part only to make the legend. Attached is an example of a switch socket and a master legend. The legend is just Generic Notation and I place it straight on the sheet.

The upload is a Revit file. I was offering it more for technique than anything else, I thought the symbols might not be right.
