Start over with Linework

I am not the best when it comes to linework on elevations and using the linework tool. I have done some work but need to start over. Is there any way to reset the linework tool so I have a fresh drawing to work with?

Depending on how much linework you have done, the easiest way would probably be to just create a new elevation

You can apply the Revit standard view template and it will reset the linework to it's original state.

This came from support on an issue (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?p=181470#post181470) that I had. I thought it would be the same for elevations, but I can't seem to get it to work:

One other option is to import the view settings from a different section view. To do so, you can go to View > Apply View Template.

When you click the linework tool, under the line selection pull down, is one <by category>, if you use this when you pick a line it will return it to its original state.
