We are currently migrating from 2002 to 2006. And we are now getting into tool palettes.

My question is... What is the procedure to create 'read-only' or 'enterprise' tool palettes? IE. which files and folders do I need to copy to the server? I currently cannot drag my new dynamic blocks onto a new tool palette. Nothing happens. I can, however, set my profile back to the default and drag and drop without an issue. I thought I copied all of the correct files from the local user folders, but obviously I failed. Can anyone outline the procedure to copy the tool palette files?

Thanks,
Brad

Hi

For starters, work through all the links found in the following couple of posts...

RE: Can Tool Palette "Groups" be shared?

RE: Transfer tool palettes from AutoCAD 2004 to 2006

Have a good one, Mike

Thanks Mike,

I've read all of these posts before. Not that much help (or at least help for what I'm looking for). Also, all but one AUGI HotNews article did not work.

Still searching....

Thanks again,
Brad

Hi

I've read all of these posts before. Not that much help (or at least help for what I'm looking for).So the information contained in posts...

RE: Tool Palette missing file location

&

RE: ADT - ACAD Palette Differences

was no help to you?

Also, all but one AUGI HotNews article did not work.Sorry about that, currently AUGI only keeps the last 12 months of HotNews on its web site (fingers crossed, that will change in the near future ie. HotNews Archive).

Have a good one, Mike

Fixed it yesterday afternoon. I had the AcTpCatalog.ATC file in the wrong place. Put it in the shared folder with the tool palettes and it works fine now.
