I am trying to print to a plt. and then send it to someone who is printing on an HP designjet 755cm. The original plt did not print. Are there any solutions to this? The HP has trouble printing PDFs or it takes a very long time. What do I do?

The HP has trouble with PDFs?
If you're creating a PLT you can use either the Windows driver for a DesignJet 750C (one of the last HP plotters that used vanilla HP-GL/2) or the HP version which you must download from HP.
Create the plot file and then zip it before sending anywhere. Plot files are ASCII and compress well for transmitting.

If you are familiar with DOS (command prompt) copy the file to the plotter with a /b (binary) switch on the command. It would look like copy filename.plt /b >prn (where prn is your plotter). That should do the trick if the person you are sending it to doesn't have the HP software.
