Align to grid, LOCK not showing

Hello Reviteers,

Apologies for this one, I think this may be a super basic question- apparently a three week vacation rots your brain pretty substantially...

I have a dimensioned building grid. Foundations are aligned and locked to this grid. The walls above are either be locked to the same grid or locked to the foundations. In either case, I am having a hard time determining TO WHAT the wall is locked to. The LOCK icon will not even show up in the Level 1 views. This is the question: how can I back track to see WHAT the wall is locked TO? Why will the LOCK icons not show?

Chances are the walls are not constrained to the grid anymore. If you attempt to move the wall, do you get an error prompting to remove constraints? Usually, if you can see the lock (try zoom to fit after selecting the wall), you can right-click on the padlock and use the "Show Related" tool to find dependencies.
